EMIR & Respira Black

New York-based designer Erik Herrström teamed up with Sony Music Norway to rebrand the identity for Norwegian Grammy Award-winning artist EMIR. The new logo uses Respira Black and the typeface is used on album artwork for ‘Det Lille Ingenting’, three singles music videos, and tour merchandise. 

On designing the identity for the pop and rap artist, Herrström said, “The gothic typography is unusually set entirely in lowercase, adding a slightly more human feel to a typeface from a category that typically has a more aggressive tone.”
